Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at pawsitivepaulsdogtraining@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

It depends on the type and severity. I focus on practical behavior issues like leash reactivity, frustration, and anxiety-based behaviors. If it’s something more serious, I’ll be honest about whether it’s a good fit or point you in the right direction.

Yes, I do. Separation anxiety can be challenging, but with the right structure and consistency, dogs can make solid progress. I’ll guide you through a step-by-step plan so your dog can start feeling more comfortable being alone.

Yes, that’s one of the most common things I help with. We’ll work on clear communication, timing, and structure so your dog learns how to walk calmly without pulling. Most people see improvement pretty quickly once we get it set up right.

It really depends on the dog and what we’re working on. Some things, like leash pulling or basic obedience, can improve pretty quickly with the right approach. Other things, like separation anxiety, take more time and consistency. I’ll give you a clear plan so you know what to expect as we go.

Yes — I work with clients across Seattle as well as nearby areas like Bellevue, Kirkland, Bothell, Shoreline, Edmonds, and surrounding cities. If you’re not sure if you’re in range, just reach out and ask.

I do offer online training, and it works well for a lot of situations. We can go over your dog’s behavior, setup at home, and a step-by-step plan you can follow. It’s a good option if you’re outside my service area or prefer virtual sessions.

In general it cost $200 a session for in person training and $100 for online zoom call. Feel free to call or text and I can walk you through it.

Yes — most of my training is private and done in your home or in real-life settings around Seattle. That way we’re working on the behaviors where they actually happen.

Yes — I help with puppy potty training all the time. Usually it comes down to having the right schedule, setup, and supervision. Once that’s in place, things tend to improve quickly.
